Boost the Volume got its start on January 21, 2008. BMSprint, a resident of Chester, SC, wanted to make a difference in his community so he began the website in the hope that it could bring much needed external money into the city and much needed external money into his pocket. So far, it has not worked very well, although somewhat.

He spends 2 hours slaving over the internet every day to find the news that means something and post it---cutting the crap. Boost The Volume prides itself on being trustable and geared toward the focus of urban music news so we're not going to have pictures of video girls all over the site beautiful as they may be.
